Why leave the Columbia Car Seat in the car? The Mobility Stroller Base is designed as a stroller base for use at the mall, playground or theme park!
The stroller frame is built for durability from light weight aluminum and measures 19" (48 cm) inside width. The stroller footrest is adjustable in height and has two foot-ankle straps. The large stroller wheels ensure a smooth ride. Front and back tires are maintenance free because they never need air.
The Columbia Medical Special Needs Car Seat meets or exceeds safety standard: American Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 213 (FMVSS 213) and FMVSS 225; Canadian CMVS 213.3 and European ECE R44.03. It is also FAA compliant and has been approved for use on airplanes. This car seat is available for "Our Kids" who have outgrown regular car seats. It will fit children from 20-102 lbs. (9-46.5kg) and up to 60in. (152cm) tall.
Regular car seats in the US are regulated to safely transport a 40 lbs. (18kg) child. The Columbia Medical Special Needs Car Seat was tested using a dummy that weighed 102 lb.
